Time has definitely gotten away from me this month! We are on the edge of wedding season here in Colorado, so my days have been full, but it is April 30, and I am desperately trying to get my flower of the month in while it is still April! So here we go….this month’s flower is of course the lovely Tulip!
Being married to a Dutch man, I cannot escape the joy of Springtime tulips and I am okay with that. There are many colors and shades of this beautiful flower…..yellow tulips symbolize cheerful thoughts, white convey forgiveness and purple represent royalty. I have to be honest though, to me, seeing a tulip means one thing…. our cold snowy winter is over and sunny summer is on its way! The season for tulips is springtime March-May (depending on your location). This is when they will be the easiest and most affordable to get. Luckily this is also when weather gets nice and we can have outdoor parties, events, and weddings! If you are thinking about using tulips here are some fun tips:
Stay mono-chromatic for an elegant design
and an overall feel romantic feel
Tulips handle very well as submerged flowers…
use this for a very affordable but striking centerpiece
Love the idea of suspending tulips!
So many options, so many colors, so much fun!
I love tulips! Happy Spring everyone!
